What To Consider When Buying A Beer Fridge
You cannot simply walk into a store and buy a beer fridge without considering a few factors beforehand. Rushing into an impulsive purchase of this kind is dangerous and you can be left frustrated a few months down the line.
Always consider the purpose for which you are buying your beer fridge. If you are going to have to use such a refrigerator for your own personal use then it makes much more sense to buy a small fridge, preferably half the size of a standard refrigerator, than to buy a large one which will be used at half capacity for most of the time. However, if you are always in the habit of hosting a number of friends on a regular weekend basis, then you might require one with a much larger capacity than a simple bar fridge.
Make enquiries on the lowest temperatures the fridge reaches when at its coldest. This enquiry will also have to be taken into consideration together with your preferred beer temperature. Not everyone likes a cold beer and the opposite is the same. They type of beer you drink also determines which temperatures are conducive for a nice refreshing drink since some beers taste better when they are chilled in relation to when they are cold as Arctic ice.
Noise levels for beer fridges, or any fridges for that matter, count a lot when it comes to choosing which refrigerator to purchase. Make sure you listen to the noises it releases when plugged in before concluding a purchase.
Believe me, you do not want to buy a noisy one which will wake you up in the middle of the night as if it were a well-timed alarm.
Buy a beer fridge with a warranty of at least 24 months. This is because fridges can work perfectly for a year and then stop working all of a sudden. If this happens and you do not have a warranty you will be left stuck, frustrated and clutching onto a warm beer for solace.
